Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. These beautiful words of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru came alive at St. Jude’s School as the campus filled with joy, colour, and celebration on the occasion of Children’s Day. Observed every year on 14th November, the day honours India’s first Prime Minister, who adored Children and believed deeply in their potential. This year, St. Jude’s School marked the day with great warmth and enthusiasm, creating memorable experiences for every Child. The Celebration began with a cheerful morning Assembly that set the tone for the day. The Teachers sang songs for the Students making the Occasion truly delightful for all. Students also took part in singing creating an uplifting and cheerful mood. The Special Assembly added an extra sparkle to the festivities. A lively Raffle Draw filled the gathering with joy. Our Director Mrs. V. R Gardner graced the occasion by giving away the Prizes to the Winners of the Raffle Draw and enlightened the Students about the significance of 14th November. This was followed by a vibrant Fete, where stalls, and treats brought endless smiles to young faces and created moments of pure enjoyment. The joy continued in Pre-Nursery and Nursery, where little ones celebrated with songs, stories, and engaging activities. Teachers wished each child a warm Happy Children’s Day, and Circle Time echoed with favourites like “If You’re Happy” and “Baby Shark.” A delightful enactment of “Wheels on the Bus” by the Teachers made the Children dance with excitement. Each Student went home with a treat take away bag and a chocolate that made the day even more special. For Classes KG–2, the day was filled with creativity and joyful learning. Students coloured special Children’s Day pictures and completed a short themed worksheet, helping them understand the significance of the day in a fun and meaningful way. To make them feel loved and appreciated, every Child received a Special Star badge, which they wore proudly. A special tiffin shared with friends added warmth to the celebration and encouraged the joy of sharing. Classes 3 to 5 celebrated the day through beautiful, thoughtful, and expressive activities. Class 3 students created “My Childhood Photo Albums,” arranging their favourite baby photographs into delightful collections that captured their earliest memories.
