Investiture Ceremony 2022 - 2023
Great leaders don’t tell you what to do. They show you how it’s done”.
An effort to cultivate transformational leaders who would don the mantle of excellence in all that they do, culminated in the Investiture Ceremony at St. Jude’s School Dehradun for the year 2022-23.
20 members of the student council appointed through a rigorous process of nominations, interviews marched forward and were formally invested with responsibilities.

The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the Prefectorial body 2021-22, parents of the newly appointed Captains, Prefects, Teachers and students of our Senior School.
The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Principal, Ms. Michelle Gardner. She read out the detailed profiles of the appointed Prefects to the audience, specially highlighting the areas each student exceled in.
Our Principal, Mrs. V.R. Gardner conferred the Badges and ceremonial Ties to the proud Prefects. The oath was administered by our Vice Principal, Ms. Michelle Gardner, The School Head Boy and the Head Girl with members of student Council took the pledge to uphold and to deliver their duties to the best of their abilities and honour the trust bestowed upon them.
It was a proud moment for all parents to witness their children being invested with new responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.

Aishi Arora, the former Head Girl of the School in her valedictory speech advised the appointed leaders to be the role models and reminded them that with position comes the great responsibility. The Prefects handed over the letters sharing their life enriching experience to the newly appointed office bearers.
In her address to the gathering the Principal, Mrs. V.R. Gardner congratulated the student Council for their preparedness to fulfill the promises they have made to themselves and to the school with their commitment and competence.
The choir presented a melodious rendition “Together we can change the world”, which indeed made the morning momentous and memorable.
Concluding the programme our Vice Principal appreciated the honesty, confidence and clarity in the thoughts which the Prefectorial body exhibited during the selection process and expressed her hope that the student Council for the Scholastic year 2022-23 witness the zenith of success and progress in its term.
With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
