Easter Celebration: A Joyful Blend of Fun, Creativity, and Learning

Easter is a time to rejoice and be thankful for the gift of life, love, and joy. On the 17th of April, a vibrant Easter celebration was held for the combined Pre-Nursery and Nursery Classes. The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and laughter as children were kept engaged in a variety of fun-filled activities that captured the festive spirit of Easter while offering meaningful learning experiences.
The festivities began in the Pre-Nursery section with an energetic Basket Relay Race. The children enthusiastically participated, running with carefully balanced baskets and cheering for their friends. This playful event encouraged teamwork, coordination, and physical development in a cheerful, supportive setting.
Next, the Pre-Nursery children dove into a delightful craft session called Pasta Play.Using brightly colored macaroni, they crafted decorative Easter eggs by pasting pasta onto paper. This hands-on activity gave them a chance to showcase their artistic flair while enhancing fine motor skills. Their vibrant creations soon adorned the Classroom, adding a festive touch to the environment.
Meanwhile, the Nursery children were immersed in an array of engaging activities designed to inspire joy, participation, and skill-building. One of the highlights was the Bunny Hop Race, where children hopped like bunnies, filling the air with giggles and cheer. The excitement continued with an Egg Hunt Race, as little explorers eagerly searched for hidden eggs around the play area. This activity sharpened their observation skills and promoted teamwork.
Another favourite was the Egg and Spoon Race, where children balanced plastic eggs on spoons and raced to the finish line. It was a perfect blend of focus, fun, and friendly competition, with plenty of encouragement and laughter all around.
After the outdoor excitement, the children transitioned into a calm, creative zone to work on colouring worksheets featuring Easter baskets. This artistic activity encouraged imagination while strengthening hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills development.
To further enrich the day, the children gathered for a Story Telling Session featuring the delightful tale, The Little Bunny Run. The story captivated their attention and added to the festive atmosphere, nurturing a love for storytelling and imaginative thinking.
The Easter celebration was a perfect blend of joy, creativity, and learning. It provided the children with a chance to explore the meaning of Easter in a playful and engaging manner while building social bonds, developing key skills, and creating lasting memories.
