St.Judes School participated at St. Georges College for the annual milestone festival-2023
Welcome September On the 9th of September morning the students from in and around Mussoorie arrived at St. Georges College for the Annual Milestone Festival. The theme of Milestone 2023 was The Land of the Rising Sun Japan. The School Auditorium was adorned with large paintings of pop culture icons from The Weekend to Barbie while the lighting in the Auditorium was a brightly lit Neon Blue Violet and Blue in true Vaporwave. The decorations was reminiscent of Japan. The Chief Guest of Milestone was Tejasvi Alhawat an up-and-coming theatre and Bollywood Actress whose new TV Show Kafas on Sony Liv has been critically acclaimed. The art contest named Elysia had Surrealism as a theme and was born out of the First World War heralded by notable names like Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. It was an expression of the unconscious mind. All the Contestants were armed with canvas and paints and projected their best. Our School bagged the First position. The theme for the fashion show was Comme Des Garcons the Avant-Garde fashion brand out of Japan known for their unconventional design and known for redefining, traditional beauty. The runway was adorned with iconic and distinctive designs from Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. We participated in the event and enjoyed the limelight. The Din com pup was a Competition where 25 tasks were to be recorded and completed in a set time and St. Judes School was the Runners Up. On the tape was a Competition in which 3 hours were given to the Contestants to make a 90 second Instagram reel. We participated while not getting a podium but we gave everyone a good fight. The event concluded with a performance by Dharmesh Yelade the famous choreographer, who came into the limelight after his Reality show Dance India Dance Season 2. We enjoyed participating in Milestone and are looking forward to be back next year till then Sayonara.
