Orientation for New Children and Parents: A Warm Welcome at the Primary School
On the 4th of April 2025, a special Orientation Day was held by our Primary Section for the newly enrolled children and their parents. The event took place in the spacious and welcoming Jonty Auditorium, which was adorned for the occasion. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the parents and children gathered for the first time to become familiar with their new School environment. Upon arrival, the parents were warmly welcomed and ushered into the auditorium, where they were seated. The air was filled with a sense of anticipation as parents, eager to learn more about their child’s educational journey, settled in. The event officially began with a heartfelt address by the Principal, Ms. M. Gardner. In her speech, she took a moment to introduce the School’s. The School was established in the year 1993, a milestone that marked the beginning of an institution committed to nurturing young minds. St.Jude’s School Students did extremely well in the recent Board Examinations. Prakshal Jain created history as he Topped the State of Uttrakhand with 99.6%. She also spoke about the School’s respected Director, Mrs. V. R. Gardner, who has dedicated 58 years of her life in shaping the future of young children. Mrs. Gardner’s vision and guidance had been instrumental in building the School’s strong reputation for academic excellence and holistic child development. The Gardner family believes in trying to bring out the Best in each child and along with our Team of Teachers who worked extremely hard to provide our Students with an All Round Education. Following the Principal’s address, a brief speech was also given by the Director, Mrs.V.R.Gardner. In her address, she expressed her excitement in welcoming the new Students and their families to the School Community. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between the School and parents in providing a nurturing environment for the children's growth and development. Mrs. V.R. Gardner also reassured the parents that the School’s dedicated Staff would support and guide their children throughout their educational journey. The Orientation then proceeded with the introduction of the Coordinators, Mr. Sundriyal, the Middle School Coordinator, Ms. R. Verma,the Coordinator for Classes 3 to 5,Mrs.S.Arora, the Coordinator for Classes K.G to 2 and Mrs. M.Arya, the Coordinator for Classes Pre School and Nursery and the Primary School Teachers. All the Teachers took the opportunity to introduce themselves to the parents, offering a glimpse into the warm and caring environment their children would soon be part of. Additionally, the School’s Primary Coordinator, Mrs. M. Arya, delivered a brief and informative presentation on the School’s curriculum, giving parents insight into the academic journey their children would be embarking on. She also explained the School’s approach to both academic and extracurricular activities, emphasizing the importance of developing well-rounded individuals. Once the speeches concluded, the parents were invited to accompany their children to their respective Classrooms, where a series of fun and engaging activities awaited them. These activities were designed to foster a strong bond between parents and children while also allowing the little ones to interact with their new environment in a hands-on way. Teachers had carefully planned a variety of activities to promote learning through play, such as colour mixing activites, palm printing, and the making of photo frames. The children eagerly participated in these activities, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm. In addition to the learning activities, a special selfie booth was set up in the Classroom, where both parents and children could capture memorable moments together. This allowed them to take home a keepsake from the day, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Refreshments were provided for the children during the event. Both the parents and children enjoyed the interactive session and the bonding time spent together. Before leaving, each child was given a take-home package filled with small items and activities related to the day's theme. This thoughtful gesture added a special touch to the event, ensuring that the children would leave with happy memories and a sense of anticipation for the School year ahead. The Orientation Day concluded with a warm goodbye, as parents and children left the School, excited for the journey that lay ahead. The Primary School had successfully created a welcoming and engaging environment for the new Students, while also offering parents valuable information and a chance to connect with the School Community.
