Theatre is a creative enlightening activity that helps develop dramatic skills and helps promote the ability to act amongst students.
The quality of plays selected and their perfect execution by our students was exemplary. The students were extremely committed and put in many hours of rehearsal time. The Theme for our ‘One Act Play’ this year was Suspense and Mystery.
Gardner House staged, ‘The Stoneman Murder’. Howard House depicted, ‘The Spider’s Poison’, one of the famous cases of detective Byomkesh Bakshi. Khanna House came up with the thriller, ‘Was it me?’. Agatha Christie’s murder mystery ‘The Mousetrap ‘was staged by Lyons House.
The costumes and sensational use of audio and stage presence was worth appreciating. The sound of applause the plays received from the audience spoke volumes.
Howard House stole the show and came first. Gardner House came second and Lyons and Khanna House came third.
Shivaansh Saxena of Khanna House won the best actor’s award. Vaibhav Kalra of Howard House won the best supporting actor’s award. The best supporting actress award was given to Harshita Joshi of Howard House.
Our Principal Ma’am Mrs. V.R. Gardner said that these activities help students develop qualities such as self confidence and poise and helps them appreciate theatre.
