Mindspree, is an annual creative platform organised by St. Jude’s School. It is a confluence of various contests and multifaceted activities ranging from innovative to cultural and cultural to creative. This year about fourteen Schools from in and around Dehradun enthusiastically participated in various contests. The Creative Festival’s Day One began on 17th of August, 2023. The occasion was graced by Mrs. V.R.Gardner Director, St.Jude’s School. The Schools that participated were St. Thomas’ College, Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie, Shri Ram Centennial School, The Summer Valley, St. Patrick’s Academy, Doon Presidency School, The Heritage School, Carman Residential And Day School, The Presidency International School, Khrisht Jyoti Academy, Kasiga School, New Doon Blossoms. Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy, Ann Mary School. A Science Project Contest was held to encourage participants to explore their curiosity, enabling them to develop a deeper interest in science. The participants embarked on a journey of learning while understanding & explaining scientific principles. The contest was judged by Mrs.Monica Makkar, Mr.Girish Ahuja and Dr.R.P.Bhardwaj. St.Jude’s School team were adjudged the Winners but being the Host School they gave away the Winners Trophy to St. Thomas’ College, and Heritage School were the First Runners-up. Results: - Winners St.Jude’s School St. Thomas’ College Runners-up Heritage School A Science Quiz to propel the students in to critical thinking and problem-solving was conducted. It provided a gateway to a world of exploration, discovery and intellectual world. The Science Quiz was conducted by Mr.D.Ahuja. St.Jude’s School team were adjudged the Winners but being the Host School team School they gave away the Winners trophy to St. Patrick’s Academy , and Doon Presidency School were the First Runners-up. Results:- Winner St.Jude’s School St. Patrick’s Academy Runners-up Doon Presidency School A Business Quiz was organized as a playground for aspiring entrepreneurs, seasoned executives and curious minds. This Quiz served as an engaging platform to given insight into the multifaceted world of business. Mr.Prashant Sharma conducted the Quiz and kept the audience engaged throughout.The Winners were St. Jude’s School and Shri Ram Centennial School but being the Host School, they gave away the trophy to Shri Ram Centennial School, and the First Runners-up were Wynberg-Allen School. Results:- Winners St.Jude’s School Shri Ram Centennial School Runners-up Wynberg-Allen School A Maths Quiz was organized to check the quantitative, logical and mental awareness of the students. It reminded them of the discoveries of great mathematicians of all times. The Quiz was conducted by Mr.R.Singh who with his passion for Maths kept the audience rapt. St. Jude’s School were adjudged the Winners but being the Host they gave away the Winners trophy to Carman Residential & Day School, the First Runners-up were St. Thomas’ College. Results:- Winners St.Jude’s School Carman Residential & Day School Runners-up St. Thomas’ College A General Knowledge Quiz was organized to expand the horizon of the participants through fun and learning and encourage them to explore beyond their textbooks, it was a healthy competition with various rounds where the participants’ understanding of diverse subjects was challenged. The Quiz Master Mr.K.Sundriyal with his passion for knowledge engaged the audience and made the contest memorable and enjoyable for all. The Winners were Summer Valley School and there was tie between Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy and St. Jude’s School for the Second position. Results:- Winners Summer Valley School Runners-up St. Jude’s School Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy Digital Marketing Contest goes beyond mere promotion, It’s about building connections with consumers through interactive, social media companies. The contest embodied the spirit of innovation, creativity and data, decision making that defines modern marketing landscape. The students thoroughly enjoyed this dynamic arena of technology and human connection. It was judged by Mr.V.Kalra and Mrs.Shaweeta Pal. The Winners were St. Jude’s School but being the Host School, they gave away the Winners trophy to St.Patrick’s Academy, the First Runners-up were Wynberg-Allen School. Results:- Winners St. Jude’s School St.Patrick’s Academy Runners-up Wynberg-Allen School “The essence of Yoga is to connect with our true selves”. Keeping this in mind, a Yoga Contest was held at St. Jude’s School as a journey of self-discovery and inner peace. The students learnt self-improvement, mindfulness and compassion Mrs. Reena Rawat, Mr.Sachin and Ms.Bhawana judged the contest. The Winners were New Doon Blossoms School, St. Jude’s School were adjudged Second, and the Second Runners-up were Summer Valley School. Results:- Winners New Doon Blossoms School First Runners-up St. Jude’s School Second Runners-up Summer Valley School In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, a fusion of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Contest was organised. This event showcased cutting-edge advancement, collaboration and learning. The Judges for this Contest were Mr.V.Kalra and Ms.Sheetal. The Winners were St. Jude’s School but being the Host School, they gave away the Winners trophy to Wynberg-Allen School, the First Runners-up were The Presidency International School. Results:- Winners St. Jude’s School Wynberg-Allen School Runners-up The Presidency International School In the Art and Collage Making Contest, the young artists coloured the canvasses with vibrant of colours and depicted their imagination and creativity. They created some captivating visual narratives conveying a powerful message while exploring beautifully the theme provided Peace & Chaos. The contest was judged by Ms.DeepShikha, Ms.Akanksha and Mr.Z.Hussain. In the Collage Making Contest, the Winners were St. Jude’s School but being the Host School, they gave away the Winners trophy to New Doon Blossoms School, the First Runners-up were St.Thomas’ College. Results:- Winners St. Jude’s School Doon Blossoms School Runners-up St.Thomas’ College In the Individual Category A, Taranpreet from Shri Ram Centennial School was adjudged the Winner, Shreya from Ann Mary School was the First Runners-up, and Mahi from Doon Presidency School was the Second Runners-up. Results:- Winner Taranpreet (Shri Ram Centennial School) First Runners-up Shreya (Ann Mary School) Second Runners-up Mahi (Doon Presidency School) In the Individual Category B, Nandani from St.Thomas’ College was adjudged the Winner, Monika from St.Patrick’s Academy was the First Runners-up,and Saloni from St. Jude’s School was the Second Runners-up. Results:- Winner Nandani (St.Thomas’ College) First Runners-up Monika (St.Patrick’s Academy) Second Runners-up Saloni (St. Jude’s School) In the Art of Story Telling Contest, the participants captivated hearts, inspired minds evoking a wide range of emotion in a matter of 4 to 5 minutes. Each story was original and ignited our imagination taking us to the exciting world of the story teller. Mr.Carlton Lemley and Mr.Rohan Raj judged the contest Dipneet Nanda from Ann Mary School was adjudged the Winner, Aanvi Gupta from St.Patrick’s Academy was the First Runners-up, and Aditi Sehgal from St.Jude’s School and Anirudh Kandwal from The Presidency International School both were declared the Second Runners-up. Results:- Winner Dipneet Nanda (Ann Mary School) First Runners-up Aanvi Gupta ( St.Patrick’s Academy) Second Runners-up Aditi Sehgal (St.Jude’s School) Anirudh Kandwal (The Presidency International School) In the MasterChef Contest aspiring culinary artists strove to bring a perfect balance of sweet, savory and sour taste. They elevated their creations through artistic plating, using colours, textures and garnishes to entice the eye as well as the tongue.The contest was judged by Mr.Mudit, Mrs.D.Bisht and Mr.Brendan Barrett.The Winners were St. Jude’s School but being the Host School, they gave away the Winners trophy to the Runners-up, Kasiga School and St.Patrick’s Academy were the First Runners-up.
