Victory of Light Over Darkness  Dussehra Celebrations at St. Jude’s School
As the monsoon season ends, the festive spirit of Puja fills the air, bringing excitement and spreading joy throughout the Campus of St. Jude’s School. Dussehra, a festival that marks the victory of good over evil, was celebrated at St. Jude’s School with great enthusiasm on the 10th of October 2024. The school came alive with vibrant activities and decorations that creating a festive atmosphere. A special fancy dress Competition was organized for the Nursery and Play Group children. The theme of the fancy dress Competition was based on the characters from the Ramayana. Young students were dressed up as Ram, Laxman, Sita, and Hanuman and brought the epic tale to life. The highlight of the day was the symbolic burning of the effigy of Ravana, a reminder of the triumph of good over evil. Throughout the day, teachers engaged the students by narrating stories from the Ramayana, further immersing them in the significance of the festival. The series of performances presented by the students during the fancy dress Competition was the highlight of the Celebration. At St. Jude’s School, Dussehra serves as a platform for fostering unity, harmony, and social bonding amongst the students. It is a celebration of the eternal battle between light and darkness, truth and falsehood, and good and evil.
