Basant Panchami is celebrated at St.Jude’s School
“Knowledge is power, knowledge is wealth. May Goddess Saraswati bestow upon everyone prosperity and peace.” Basant Panchami is a seasonal festival celebrated with great joy. It marks the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring. In Hindi, Basant means ‘Spring’ and Panchami means ‘Fifth’. This festival is celebrated on the fifth day of Spring. This day is significant for Students as we worship Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music and art. Children celebrated the festival with joy at School today. Children wore yellow dresses, put up dances and spoke about the festival.
