Our Students reach the Semi Finals of the 6th O.P. Garg Soccer Tournament Under-14

The 6th O.P. Garg Soccer Tournament Under-14 was held from the 7th of August- 14th of August, held at Shri Ram Centennial School, witnessed an impressive performance by the young footballers of St. Jude's School. Their journey through the tournament was marked by a series of dominant victories, though it ultimately ended in a narrow defeat in the semi-finals.
St. Jude's School began their campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory against G.D. Goenka School. The match showcased the team's offensive prowess, with Aarav Malla, Samarth Kumar, and Prince Sharma each finding the back of the net. This strong start set the tone for the rest of their group stage matches.
In their Second match, St. Jude's faced Doon Grammar School and delivered another stunning performance, winning 4-0. Prince Sharma was the standout player, scoring two goals, while Aarav Malla and Samarth Kumar each contributed with a goal, further solidifying the team's place as a formidable contender in the tournament.
The Third match pitted St. Jude's against the host team, Shri Ram Centennial School. Once again, St. Jude's emerged victorious with a 3-0 scoreline. The trio of Prince Sharma, Aarav Malla, and Samarth Kumar each scored a goal, maintaining their unbeaten run and demonstrating their consistency on the field.
In the Fourth match, St. Jude's School faced Tons Bridge School. This was a more tightly contested game, but Aarav Malla's solitary goal secured a 1-0 win for St. Jude's, ensuring their qualification for the semi-finals with an unblemished record.
However, the Semi-Final match against Doon Valley International School proved to be the most challenging of their campaign. Despite a valiant effort, St. Jude's was narrowly defeated 3-2, bringing their journey in the tournament to an end.
The young players of St. Jude's School displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the 6th O.P. Garg Soccer Tournament Under-14. Their journey, though cut short in the semi-finals, was a testament to their potential and promise for future success in the sport.
