St. Jude's School Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Unbridled Enthusiasm
August 15, 2024 marked a momentous occasion at St. Jude's School as students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate India's 78th Independence Day. The day was filled with patriotic fervor, pride, and joy, serving as a poignant reminder of the nation's rich heritage and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The Celebrations began with the ceremonial unfurling of the tri-color, accompanied by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem. The fluttering flag symbolized unity, gratitude, and national pride, filling the hearts of all present with joy. The Students showcased their talents through a mesmerizing cultural program, featuring patriotic songs like "Aae Watan", "Suno Gaur se Duniya Walo" and "O Desh Mere". The school's talented dancers performed a captivating performance "Rang De Basanti", "Lehra Do" and "Pariatlam", leaving the audience spellbound. In their inspiring speech, School Captains Anshuman Sharma and Ananya Bisht reminded their peers of the value of freedom, the struggles faced by their ancestors, and the responsibilities that come with being a citizen of a sovereign nation. They emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of democracy, equality, and justice. Principal Ms. M. Gardner addressed the gathering, highlighting the sacrifices, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped the nation's history. She stressed the significance of nurturing responsible citizens who will lead the nation towards a brighter future. "We need to use our Education and all we have learnt to create a clean, green, intelligent community driven by values of understanding, compassion, kindness and generosity, " she emphasized. The event concluded with the National Anthem being sung with pride, followed by the distribution of sweets among the students.
