INTER-SCHOOL SINGING COMPETITION

Singing Competitions are powerful platforms that provides children with opportunities for skill development andconfidence building. Competitions also offers singers constructive feedback from judges that guide them improving their craft. Ultimately singing competitions inspire passion for music, motivate growth and unite people.
The Spectrum 2024 Inter-School Singing Competition was held on 9th of November 2024 at St. Thomas College. The Competition was divided into three categories Solo Singing, Duet Singing and Group singing. The Honourable Chief Guest of the function was Mrs. S Mann, Carman School, Dalanwala, Dehradun.
The Schools participating in the Competition were Carman School Dalanwala, St. Jude’s School, St. Joseph Academy, Summer Valley School and St. Thomas’ College. The songs sung in the Competition belonged from the era of 1970s. The solo and group category, the songs had to be performed in English and for the duet category in Hindi. The solo and duet singing category were also accompanied by dancing.
The Judges for the event were Mr. Alexander, Mrs Gonsalves and Mrs Amrit Kaur Anand.
In the Solo Singing Category, Pragya Chauhan of Summer Valley School was declared the winner and the runner-up was Vartika Khattri of St. Jude’s School. In the Duet Singing Category Shaurya Vardhan Bhatt and Arhaanna Kochar of St. Joseph’s Academy were declared the winners and the Runners-Up were Harshit Bahukhandi & Prerna Ranakoti of St. Thomas’ College and in the Group Singing Category St. Jude’s School were declared the Winners and Summer Valley School the Runners-up.
The Overall Winners of the “Spectrum” – 2024 Inter-School Singing Competition was St.Joseph’s Academy and the Runners-up was St. Jude’s School.
