St. Jude's School Celebrates India's 72nd Independence Day
St. Jude’s School celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day with unprecedented Patriotic fervour. The gamut of celebration activities held on Campus consisted of a special morning assembly, folk dances, patriotic songs and speeches. Amidst the atmosphere of joy and hearts filled with a feeling of brotherhood, the day started with the unfurling of the Tricolour by the School Principal Mrs. V.R. Gardner which was followed by the National Anthem. Rekindling the spirit of patriotism and love, the staff and students gathered together to witness the performances of the students clad in saffron, white and green costumes. The spectacular performances enthralled one and all. Satish Saurya, the Head Boy reminded the audience about sacrifices of our great leaders and lay emphasis on our duties as Citizens of this Country. Aradhya Gurung, the Head Girl, spoke about India’s glorious past and how, even in the present, the world has realised the true worth of our Country. Today we are one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Mrs. V.R. Gardner, in her address made the students pledge that they will serve their motherland, India, with body, heart and soul to bring her glory and laurels. The beautiful day come to an end with a smile on our students faces as they were distributed sweets.
