“From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
Recent times like the undulating waves, have urged people to pontificate upon life and its virtues. The Annual Speech and Prize Day is a time-hallowed tradition; a day filled with nostalgia as students reminisce on the years that are past, and are rewarded for their unfailing efforts.
After being scattered by the gusts of circumstance, we gathered under one roof, with God’s grace. Enthusiasm spread like a wild fire from hearts beating each to each.
The event embodied a plethora of splendid performances including displays of various dance forms such as Hip-Hop, Salsa, Jogwa, Punjabi and many others. The dances traced their origins to various parts of the country, displaying unity in diversity. The students demonstrated the technique of miming and stand-up comedy with utmost simplicity, yet unfading elegance.The audience was enthralled by the magnificence of the exuberant performers.
Art, in all its forms, is what creates history each passing moment. Sentiments incapable of being expressed in words, are portrayed through the love of art. The world is at a paucity of ingenuity; ergo, creativity and intellect need to unfurl.
As the auditorium echoed with the dulcet tones of the Choir, the morning grew distant and transcendent. The wonderstruck audience was almost oblivious, like men having heard some heavenly sound.
The event’s slowly rising thematic significance was highlighted, as the awardees were summoned on stage and glory was theirs. The School toppers of the Commerce and Science Stream along with the other prize winners, were accorded numerous accolades for their scholarly prowess and exemplary performance during the academic year. The prize winners were as follows:-

The soothing smiles on the proud faces became the apotheosis of the event, like a song reaching its crescendo. Every year, this special day marks the epilogue to one chapter, and a prologue to another. It signifies that intellect, wit and talent shan’t go unrewarded, even till the end of time.
Through the cheery morning air, the event drew to its close, by the National Anthem; as a tribute to a proud nation.
