St. Jude’s School 30th Primary Section (Pre-Nursery to 2) Annual Sports Day and P.T. Display

St. Jude’s School recently hosted its 30th Annual Primary Sports Day and P.T. display, celebrating the spirit of healthy competition and unity among students.
The event was held on Friday, the 25th of October 2024. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mrs. Monika Arora, Principal of Doon Cambridge School, Dehradun,who was warmly welcomed by St. Jude’s Principal, Ms.Gardner.
The day’s events began with the Primary School March Past, followed by the Play Group’s lively action song “Choo Choo Waa,” which transformed the Sports Day into a vibrant celebration. The first race of the day was the ‘Chain Relay’ by Class 2, followed by the “Cosmic Star Collectors” race by Kindergarten, the ‘Butterfly Race’ by Pre-Nursery students, the ‘Caterpillar Race’ by Class 1, and the ‘Jack and Jill’ Race by Nursery students. The students were enthusiastically cheered for the audience. The ‘Silver Swirl Drill’ performed by Kindergarten, the Yoga P.T. display by Class 1, and the Musical Percussion by Class 2 dazzled the spectators as the field transformed into an astonishingly colourful playground. The event also featured an exciting karate demonstration by students, showcasing their self-defense skills.
Our Chief Guest, Mrs. Monika Arora, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of engaging in physical sports, games, and exercises over virtual reality gaming. She highlighted the irreplaceable benefits of outdoor activities. She extended her heartfelt congratulations to the staff and management for organizing such a vibrant event and also presented prizes to the winners.
Our Principal, Ms. M. Gardner, extended her gratitude to our Director, Mrs. V.R. Gardner, whose commitment to nurturing talent and fostering growth was invaluable in delivering such a remarkable event. She also urged parents to spend quality time with their children and to guide them in distinguishing right from wrong. In a warm message to the Parents, our Principal encouraged them to spend quality time with their children, emphasizing the importance of treating them with care and respect and fostering their growth into kind and compassionate human beings.
