9th L. O. EDWARDS CHOIR FESTIVAL

Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks, and invent.
To honor their former principal Mr. L. O. EDWARDS, Wynberg-Allen School holds its Choir festival annually. This year the festival was held on the 9th September 2023 at Sir Kirby Lang Auditorium. The festival provides a platform for the Choirs of different schools to showcase their talents and their love and devotion to music. The Schools participating in the festival came from Dehradun and Mussoorie. The sole purpose of the festival is not to compete against one another but to come together as a single entity and celebrate music. The following Schools participated in the function and graced us with their performances.

Their performances were well appreciated and applauded by the audience. Some of the famous numbers performed by the schools were Courage to Change, Albella Sajan, Amazing Grace, Classical Hymns and Diamonds. The children of St. Judes School sang a very popular number Any Dream Will Do written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The song is sung for the title character of Joseph. The function was concluded by the Junior and Senior school choir of Wynberg Allen who sang with a medley of songs gracing everyone with their performance. At the end the Principal of Wynberg-Allen Mr. Leslie Tindale gave a vote of thanks to everyone for taking the time and sending their Choirs to the festival and asked them to give their regards to their Principals.
