St. Jude’s School hosts Inter-Class English Elocution Competition for Primary Classes.
“The beauty of poetry lies in its ability to convey emotions through the power of words, and recitation helps children connect with language in a profound way.” On the 8th of October, St. Jude’s School organized an exhilarating Inter-Class English Elocution Competition, showcasing the remarkable talents of students from Pre-Nursery to Class 2. The event aimed to foster confidence, enhance public speaking skills, and encourage a love for the English language among young learners. Participants from all five sections of the primary classes created an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm and creativity. Each student had the opportunity to express their thoughts and ideas on various themes, ranging from Nature and Friendship to Dreams and Aspirations. Students from Nursery and KG added a splash of colour to the event by presenting delightful poems accompanied by vibrant props. Their expressive performances, enhanced by colourful visuals, created a lively and engaging experience for the audience. The event highlighted the importance of poetry recitation, which not only helps young learners appreciate rhythm and language but also enhances memory and verbal expression. Class 1 and 2 students impressed the audience with their clear diction, proper pronunciation, and expressive recitations. Throughout the Competition, they made a conscious effort to pronounce words correctly and convey their ideas with clarity. Each participant delivered their recitations with enthusiasm and poise, captivating the audience with a unique style and perspective. The Judges had the challenging task of evaluating performances based on clarity, pronunciation, expression, and content. Every poem reflected the hard work and dedication of the young participants. The Event concluded with a group photo session, capturing the proud smiles of the students. This Competition emphasized the value of poetry recitation, enabling students to build a strong foundation in communication while nurturing their creativity and confidence. The Results of the English Elocution were as follows In the Group Elocution: Class Pre-Nursery: Jasmine recited Mummy and Daddy and came First. Nursery-C recited Healthy Habits and stood First and Nursery-B came Second. KG-D recited Little Red and stood First, and KG-B bagged the Second Prize. Class 1-E recited Little Busy Bee and came First, with 1-B securing Second Place. Class 2-E recited ‘’Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face’’ and won First place and Class 2-C recited The Honest Little Bee and took Second Prize. In the Individual Elocution: Pre-Nursery: There was a tie between Shamit Singh of Violet recited Teddy Bear and Meher of Jasmine recited I am a Little Teapot and bagged the First Position. Ridhima from Nursery-B secured First place and Aakriti from Nursery-C stood Second. Elisha Vishnoi from KG-D recited Wobbly Tooth and took First place, while Aradhya Dalakoti from KG-B came Second. Kritika Rathore of Class 1-C recited I had a Little Secret and took First place, while Samika Chauhan from 1-E secured Second place. Pihu Arora from Class 2-C recited The Little Train and stood First and Kundan Yadav from Class 2-D came Second.
