EXPLORING INDIA THROUGH COLORS, CULTURES, AND STATES

On 24th January 2025, students from KG to Class 2 participated in a Republic Day activity that was both educational and lively.
The activity introduced children to India’s rich cultural diversity through interactive displays. Each class transformed into a vibrant cultural hub, celebrating the nation with pride and enthusiasm. The classrooms echoed with learning, and the pride of being Indian.
Class KG celebrated India’s ‘Unity in Diversity’ by showcasing symbols of National pride such as the Flag , the National Bird and Flower .Dressed in traditional attire, the students spoke about the Republic Day parade, sang patriotic songs, and brought the spirit of India to life.
Classes 1 and 2 showcased India’s diversity by representing specific states and celebrating their unique cultures and traditions. Children dressed in traditional Kumaoni and Garhwali attire represented the Uttarakhand and its rich heritage. The vibrant culture of Gujarat came alive as students adorned colorful ghagra-cholis and dhoti-kurtas, holding dandiya props to complete the look. The energetic spirit of Punjab was highlighted as children wore colorful salwar kameez, dhoti-kurtas, and Punjabi juttis, performing a lively Bhangra dance to the beat of the dhol. Rajasthan’s regal charm was displayed through bandhej costumes, pagdis, traditional Rajasthani puppets, and interesting facts about the Thar Desert and its majestic palaces. Similarly, other states were also represented by the students, highlighting their unique cultural heritage.
The event was not just about costumes and props, traditional dishes from various States added extra charm to the celebration.
This Republic Day activity reminded every one of the beauty of India’s Unity in Diversity. It was heartwarming to see even the youngest students embrace the spirit of patriotism while appreciating the differences that make our country so unique.
