The topic under fire was “The Media today does not reflect the truth rather it brainwashes usâ€.
This Competition provides a platform for students to display their rhetorical skills and debating flair.
The speakers left the audience awestruck with their persuasive opinion and eloquence. The debate was very effectively conducted by the Chairperson Mrs. Neetu Mehra.
The team from Wynberg Allen was excellent and they were declared the Winners. The team from Convent of Jesus and Mary were Runners up at the Contest.
In this well fought battle Deepansh Jawrani and Sridip Mukherjee from Wynberg Allen School were declared the Best Speaker and 2nd Best Speaker respectively while Swati Negi from Convent of Jesus and Mary School was declared the 3rd best speaker.
No doubt the event was a caricature of the agony present in Society and no doubt the media plays a vital role in moulding minds. The event concluded with everyone having something to ponder upon.
