St. Jude’s School wins the DDPSA Sub Junior Boys Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament 2022-23

Indoor cricket is a fast-paced, action-packed version of the game suitable for all levels, with easy-to-follow rules and an emphasis on fun and fitness.
St. Jude’s School organized the DDPSA Sub-Junior Boys Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament for the year 2022-23. Six Schools participated in this tournament and were divided into the following two pools.

The Finals of the DDPSA Sub-Junior Boys Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament 2022-23 took place on the 10th of December, 2022. It was played between St. Jude’s School and New Doon Blossoms School.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mrs. B. Dasgupta (Principal, The Aryan School). Present on the occasion were Mrs. V. R. Gardner (Director, St. Jude’s School), Ms. M. Gardner (Principal, St. Jude’s School) and guest.
New Doon Blossoms School won the toss and elected to field first, St. Jude’s School made 31 Runs in the First Inning and 30 Runs in the Second Inning. The total score was 61 runs. The top scorer from St. Jude’s School was Aditya with 23 runs. The best bowler from St. Jude’s School was Kartik Purohit with two wickets.
New Doon Blossoms Schools made 24 Runs in the first inning and 22 Runs in second inning. The total score was 46 Runs. The top scorer from New Doon Blossoms School was Sumitansh with 19 runs. The best bowler from New Doon Blossoms was Aradhya with one wicket.
St. Jude’s School won the finals of DDPSA Sub-Junior Boys Inter School Indoor Cricket by 15 runs.
The best batsman of the tournament was Aditya (St. Jude’s School) who scored 59 runs and the best bowler was Kartik Purohit (St. Jude’s School) who took 5 wickets.
The day concluded the end of a series of matches in which the very young cricketers from different schools performed to the best of their ability. This series of matches has helped showcase the talent, dedication and commitment of many youngsters.
