REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION: A FUN-FILLED DAY OF TRI-COLOR ACTIVITIES FOR PRE-NURSERY AND NURSERY CHILDREN
This Republic Day, the Pre-Nursery and Nursery children participated in a special set of activities designed to combine the spirit of patriotism with creativity and healthy habits. The theme of the day focused on the tricolor—the vibrant colors of our national flag—while engaging children in fun, hands-on learning experiences. For the Pre-Nursery children, the activity of the day was sandwich making. The children worked with tricolor ingredients like orange carrots, white cheese, and green spinach to create their own healthy sandwiches. As they spread butter, layered vegetables, and assembled their sandwiches, they not only learned about the importance of healthy eating but also practiced fine motor skills such as spreading and arranging. In the Nursery class, the children created a colorful fruit salad using fresh fruits to match the colors of the national flag. They carefully selected and arranged the fruits like oranges, papayas, bananas, apples kiwis and grapes .The children mixed these fruits together to form a healthy, tricolor salad that was as nutritious as it was vibrant. This activity not only encouraged them to explore different textures and tastes but also helped them understand the significance of the colors in our flag. Both activities allowed the children to celebrate Republic Day in a meaningful and enjoyable way, reinforcing the values of unity, diversity, and patriotism while encouraging them to develop important life skills such as teamwork, creativity, and an appreciation for healthy foods. Through these hands-on activities, the children not only learned about the colors of the flag but also got a chance to express themselves in a fun educational setting.
