Independence Day Celebration at St. Jude’s School- Primary and Junior Section
On 14th August 2024, St. Jude’s School was abuzz with patriotic fervor as the Primary and Junior School students came together to celebrate India’s Independence Day. This annual event provided a unique opportunity for students to delve into the rich history of our nation and reflect on the values of unity and freedom. The Celebration commenced with a vibrant cultural program organized by the students and teachers. The day’s highlights included a delightful Rajasthani folk dance performed by the young students of Playgroup and Nursery. Their spirited performance, complete with traditional costumes and energetic movements, set a festive tone. Following this, the students of Class KG charmed the audience with a joyful recitation of the poem Desh Mere Desh, showcasing their budding patriotism. The Students of Classes 1 and 2 captivated the audience with a musical skit titled Bharat Ki Swatantrata Ki Yatra. Their engaging performance shed light on the struggle for freedom and honored the brave freedom fighters who shaped India’s destiny. This was succeeded by an electrifying dance performance, Kesaria Bharat, by the Students of Classes 3 to 5. Their synchronized routine and vibrant presentation mesmerized everyone. The Junior Choir then took the stage, delivering a melodious rendition of Lehra De, which had the audience humming along in pride. The event concluded with thought-provoking speeches delivered by the students of Class 5 in both Hindi and English. Their words emphasized the significance of Independence Day, celebrating the sacrifices made for our freedom fighters and reflecting on the responsibilities we carry as citizens.
