“Traffic lights remind us that patience is key, and sometimes we must pause to safely move forward.”
On the 8th of November, St. Jude’s School organized an engaging and educational Traffic light activity for its Preschool and Nursery Class children. This hands-on event aimed to introduce young children to the fundamental concepts of traffic rules, fostering awareness and safety on the roads. The day began with an interactive enactment of traffic rules, where the tiny tots participated in role-playing scenarios that illustrated the importance of obeying traffic signals. To further reinforce the lesson, the wonderful rhyme “Red Light, Red Light” was introduced. This catchy song helped the kids understand the significance of traffic lights and their corresponding actions, stopping on red, getting ready on yellow, and going on green. Additionally, the children engaged in a creative worksheet activity where they could color pictures of traffic lights and symbols. Overall, the Traffic light activity at St. Jude’s School not only provided valuable lessons on road safety but also fostered social interaction and teamwork among the Pre -Nur and Nursery Classes.
