EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS AT ST JUDES SCHOOL
The Pre Primary and Primary Classes of St Jude's School recently commemorated Earth Day on the 22nd of April,2024 with a range of engaging activities that fostered environmental consciousness among the students. The day was marked by a series of initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable activities and appreciating the natural world. The students were engaged in interesting activities such as making Earth Day wristbands, headgear, scavenger hunt, paper badges, balloon painting, finger painting, mosaic art, paper bag making to name a few. This interactive session not only educated the students about our beautiful planet Earth but also taught them how to reuse and recycle paper and cardboard. They created beautiful artwork depicting our wonderful nature- animals, birds, flowers and trees. These activities instilled a sense of responsibility and connection to nature among the participants. The School emphasized the importance of community development among the young students as the implementation of these eco-friendly habits in their daily lives will lead to active contributions to a greener community. The Earth Day celebrations at St Jude’s School were not just a one-day event but are a part of a larger effort to integrate environmental education into the curriculum and the School culture. By fostering a love for nature and sustainability the School is nurturing future leaders who are equipped to address global environmental challenges. Thus the Earth Day Celebrations were a testament to St Jude’s School's commitment to cultivating environmental awareness and inspiring positive action towards a more sustainable future.
