St. Jude's School delivered a stellar performance at Kalataru 2026, an Inter-School Visual and Performing Arts Competition organised by The OASIS on Saturday, the 2nd of May 2026. The event brought together the finest young artistic talent from across the city, making it a celebration of creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. The Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 17 reputed Institutions, including St. Patrick's School, Kasiga International School, Hope Town School, Unison School, Doon International School and the host School, The OASIS - each bringing with them a vibrant spirit of artistic expression and healthy Competition. The panel of Judges comprised distinguished professionals with expertise in their respective fields - spanning fine arts, classical dance, photography and music. Kalataru 2026 featured many beautifully curated events, each designed to challenge and inspire Students across disciplines: 1. Gliding Figures An event that invited students to explore the elegance of movement and form. 2. Botanical Opulence - Celebrating the beauty of the Natural World. 3. Sole Canvas (Canvas Shoes – Pop Art) - A unique and vibrant event in which Students transformed plain canvas shoes into bold works of Pop Art. 4. Photography — Participants stepped behind the lens to capture compelling narratives through a single frame. 5. Geochromatica (Surreal Cityscape) - This Artwork event invited Students to reimagine urban landscapes through a surrealist perspective. 6. The Pulse of Pavement (Local Indian Transport) - A tribute to the everyday rhythms of Indian streets. 7. Indian Classical Dance - The stage came alive as participants presented graceful performances rooted in the traditions of Classical Indian Dance forms, demonstrating discipline, dedication and artistic mastery. St. Jude's School participated and emerged victorious in three, affirming its standing as a powerhouse of artistic talent. 1st Position - Sole Canvas Rudransh, Class 8 C and Tejaswini, Class 8 D claimed the Top Spot with their bold and imaginative pop art creations, outshining competitors from across the field. 2nd Position - Gliding Figures Srishti, Class 12 Sci B, Gayatri, Class 12 Sci A and Jiya, Class 11 Sci B secured the Runners-Up position, impressing the Judges with the grace and their artwork. 2nd Position - Botanical Opulence Avni Gupta, Class 12 Com B and Anshika Joshi, Class 12 Com B also claimed the Runners-Up title. Beyond the podium, Kalataru 2026 was an experience that enriched every Participant - broadening artistic horizons, nurturing confidence and fostering a deeper appreciation for the many forms of creative expression.
