St. Jude’s School successfully organised the Inter-House Debate Competition under Rendezvous 2026, bringing together some of the finest young Speakers of the School for an engaging battle of ideas and opinions. The Debate was conducted on the thought-provoking topic, “This House Believes that Humanity is its Own Greatest Enemy.” The Event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the Houses and created an atmosphere filled with intellect, confidence, and healthy competition. Representing Gardner House, Aanya Tripathi spoke for the motion, while Gauravi Gumbar presented the opposing viewpoint with confidence and clarity. Howard House was represented by Saanvi Rawat speaking for the motion and Akriti Mittal speaking against it. From Khanna House, Khushleen Kaur strongly supported the motion, while Avishika Bisht delivered an impressive argument against it. Lyons House participants Arjit Solanki and Pranjali Uniyal presented their arguments with remarkable confidence, presence of mind, and eloquence, leaving a strong impact on the audience. The participants impressed everyone with their powerful arguments, fluent delivery and rebuttals. The Debate encouraged Students to think critically, express their opinions fearlessly, and listen respectfully to opposing viewpoints. The audience remained deeply engaged throughout the Debate as Speakers presented examples, facts, and logical reasoning to support their stand. After a closely contested Competition, Lyons House emerged victorious and was applauded for its outstanding performance and teamwork. Addressing the gathering, the Principal appreciated the participants for their confidence, awareness, and thoughtful arguments. The Principal remarked that Debates play an important role in shaping young minds by encouraging Students to think independently, analyse different perspectives, and express themselves with clarity and confidence. The Students were encouraged to continue participating in such literary activities that help build communication skills, leadership qualities, and intellectual growth. The Event concluded with loud applause for all the participants and proved to be a memorable experience for everyone present. The Inter-House Debate Competition truly reflected the spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and intellectual excellence at St. Jude’s School.
